Julia Gehrmann studied Computer Science with Biology as a minor subject at RWTH Aachen University. During her studies she gathered practical experience in scientific project management and biomedical data science at University Hospital Aachen, Fraunhofer FIT and as a team leader in the iGEM competition. She wrote her Master Thesis about access and integration of medical data for research at the Institute for Biomedical Informatics Cologne where she now works as a research associate. Her main research fields are clinical data science in oncology and improving the accessibility of medical real-world data for research.
