The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether clinician’s acknowledgement and adherence to Clinical Best Practice Advisories (BPA) system’s alerts improve the outcome of patients with chronic diabetes. 

Electronic health record (EHR) systems have faced criticism and debate as these systems can be complex and difficult for users to navigate, particularly for those who are not trained in their use. This can lead to errors and inefficiencies, negatively impacting patient care and user satisfaction.By contextualizing criticism and transforming it into constructive feedback, system developers can gain valuable insights and use this feedback to make reasonable improvements. Transforming criticism into constructive feedback requires contextual understanding for helping to identify specific areas where improvements may be needed. In this presentation, some typical examples are given about acquiring more concrete and actionable feedback on situations where users have been disappointed or when they felt that something could be working in a better way.One of the key benefits of contextual user feedback is that it allows healthcare organizations to gather a wide range of perspectives on the EHR system to prioritize improvements. Systematic collection of user feedback also helps organizations to identify areas where additional training or support may be needed.

In this talk a brief overview of cybersecurity challenges with integrated IT/OT medical devices will be provided, along with current best practices for addressing them and open issues. Realistic attack scenarios will be used as examples to discuss the possible impact of the attack; ease of detection; risk of cascade effects; assets likely to be affected; stakeholders involved; security measures to prevent such attacks; handling the incident.

The Centre for Preventive Care is a speculative design project exploring the future of healthcare. In november 2022 visitors were invited to Södersjukhuset in Stockholm to experience a healthcare visit in the future and to reflect upon pros and cons of a healthcare system build on prediction and prevention.

Rådande utveckling - en åldrande population i allt större behov av hälso- och sjukvård - tvingar fram alternativa lösningar för att tillfredsställa framtidens vårdbehov. En sådan lösning är digital vård. Föreläsningen handlar om digital vård genom egenmonitorering av patienter med KOL, som via en applikation får registrera sina symtom på KOL. Presentationen redogör för hur egenmonitorering av KOL genomförs på lungmedicinska mottagningen i Linköping samt hur vi bedriver forskning kring det. Föreläsningen kommer också att ta upp individuella vårdplaner till patienter med KOL och hur sjuksköterskor kan upprätta sådana. Dessutom redogörs för en ny definition av KOL och en ny klassificering utifrån GOLD 2023.

Learn about Vulcan, an HL7 FHIR Accelerator that is developing interoperability standards in clinical research. During the workshop, we'll provide an overview of HL7, HL7 FHIR, the Vulcan Program, recent EuroVulcan event in Paris and HL7 FHIR activities in Europe. Workshop participants will discuss how to continue to develop & implement clinical research standards in Europe.

Närakuten är en akut drop-in-verksamhet som tidvis har ett högt antal samtidigt sökande personer att bedöma. Kö till registrering och en medicinsk bedömning i triagen bildas ofta. Vi har därför drivit ett arbete att låta sökande själva registrera vissa uppgifter. Detta både ur perspektivet att göra patienter mer delaktiga samt för att avlasta sjuksköterskan i triage genom att lyfta bort vissa administrativa uppgifter.

På Södersjukhuset har vi en process för hur vi jobbar med digitalisering, vilken presenterades på Vitalis förra året. I år kommer vi beskriva hur den ger konkreta resultat och löpande skapar mesta möjliga värde för patienter och medarbetare. Bland annat kommer vi beskriva lyckade införanden av NEWS2-stolpar (vitalparametrar direkt från patient till journalsystem), digitala patientmöten, e-kallelser och webbformulär.

Vi påverkas ständigt av en föränderlig omvärld, där vi måste upprätthålla en säker leverantörskedja.

Föreläsningen kommer att beskriva kunskap från ett svensk-kanadensiskt forskningsprojekt där syftet är attsamskapa arbetssätt och digitala verktyg i vården för att hållbart stödja och motivera äldre personer att återerövra, träna och bibehålla fysisk funktionsförmåga i hemmet. En digital plattform har utvecklats inom projektet som ger användaren möjlighet att öka medvetenheten om sina egna vardagsrörelser och få stöd att förbättra dem. Detta genom video feedback, jämförande video, guidande frågor samt lärande i par.Genom att involvera användarna i utvecklingsprocessen utforskar vi hur arbetsmetoder och verktyg kan samskapas för att äldre personer kan få adekvat stöd, i rätt tid och på rätt sätt av vårdpersonal för att kunna bibehålla eller förbättra exempelvis balans och tillit till egen rörelseförmåga.
