Currently, an individual’s opportunities for privacy protection are limited by their digital skills and external factors such as illness, residence, and socio-economic status. Technological development in the field is happening very quickly, but coordination and common platforms are needed to increase accessibility. The HEIDA project have developed software examples using homomorphic encryption for end-to-end privacy protection. The technology enables processing of encrypted data and increase the individual’s opportunities for privacy protection in digital health, which can be of interest to health care decision makers and IT professionals.

Across Europe the demand for resources in the Health sector is growing faster than the supply, and there is a growing consensus that Digital Therapeutics Apps with their ability to reach a wide part of the population at scale, and in a cost efficient way, is part of the solution.
But development of medical grade apps, that have clinical evidence and satisfy the strictest quality standards is expensive, and vendors need to know how they can be adopted and reimbursed by the healthcare system, before they develop and deploy solutions that can benefit the patients.
SelfBack is an example of one of the few medical grade apps with clinical evidence. SelfBack takes part in the EU harmonisation work of Health Technology Assessments and in this session SelfBack will share their experience from different European countries, and give an overview of how the Swedish/Nordic market access, reimbursement and regulations compares to the rest of Europe from a manufactures point of view.

The Middle East's healthcare sector is undergoing a massive digital transformation, fueled by the implementation of plethora of mega health exchange projects and the rapid changes digital health regulatory frameworks . However, a critical challenge lies in the lack of skilled professionals in health data governance (HDG), hindering the region's ability to fully leverage its health data potential. The speaker will highlight the role of ZIMAM in addressing specific challenges and opportunities within the GCC healthcare sector to make the call for upskilling and cross-skilling talents to operationalize recently issued GDPR-like regulations and policies. The role these talents would be vital to support adopting and adapting best practices in health data governance and data sharing as well as utilizing technology tools and services to support ethical processing and sharing of personal health information for both primary and secondary use.

Staff welfare has a profound impact on emergency services' abilities to meet targets, deliver appropriate levels of care and implement long-term strategies. Poor staff morale and high employee turnover are disruptive, expensive and result in sub-optimal service provision. As such, more organisations are turning to advanced modelling solutions to better balance operational performance and employee well-being. This presentation draws on first-hand experience from the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust (WAST) and details how data-driven modelling software enables the organisation to implement effective changes that prioritise employee welfare, respect operational targets and empower the team to do more with less.

InfCare HIV quality register and decision support tool has now been used nationwide in Sweden and in other Nordic countries for 20 years. In Sweden, a great amount of structured clinical data has been collected during the years and the Swedish HIV physicians have included the decision support system as an integral part of all patient-related workflows in the clinic. The system gives clinicians in their daily practice a holistic view of the patient’s state of health over time as well as real time access to key performance indicators regarding the care given at the clinic.Data from InfCare HIV has been used in numerous research projects and studies to support developing treatment guidelines and improve care pathways for HIV patients. BMJ Open recently published an article describing the first 20 years with the Swedish InfCare HIV cohort, Christina Carlander as the main writer.Beyond the InfCare HIV system, the presentation will cover some examples of similar clinical information management systems for other medical specialties.
