Wednesday May 15, 2024 10:55 - 11:05 A1

Lecturer: Josefin Hagström

Track: DOME -A Nordic Benchmarking Battle – who has the best national patient portal?

A key challenge for the implementing patients’ online access to their health records is how to protect minors’ confidentiality during the transitional adolescence period. This presentation highlights the variety in policies for minors’ and guardian access to minors’ electronic health records, focusing on four Nordic countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Estonia. Current policies will be outlined and compared in terms of potential benefits and risks.
