In this session, we will present an overview of a study about the use of IoT in schools. We engaged with IoT experts to discuss how IoT-based solutions could help to improve the health and well-being of students, teachers, and other school staff. We present the main themes that surfaced in expert interviews, containing ideas on how IoT could help fulfill the needs and requirements of school personnel and students.

Despite years of work from both informaticians and IT-architects interoperability within healthcare is still low. This explorative case study performed on a well-staffed public health care provider shows that the involved roles were unclear, processes did not include each other, and that tooling was incompatible.However, interest in collaboration was high and technical advances and inhouse development were seen as incentives for increased collaboration.

Växande vårdköer och människor som lider av långvarig smärta är ett ständigt växande problem som resulterar i stora samhällsförluster stor påfrestning för vården. Curest presenterar sin e-hälsotjänst för fysioterapi som kvalitetssäkrar rehabilitering oavsett om patienten tränar på klinik tillsammans med vårdpersonal eller självständigt hemma. Under träning registreras rörelser och omvandlas till statistik som automatiskt skickas till vårdgivaren. Detta möjliggör för enkel och tidseffektiv diagnostik, monitorering och behandling. Träning blir roligare och patienterna mer motiverade att fortsätta rehabilitering då de enkelt kan se resultat av träning och hur att tillstånd förbättras. Fysioterapeuten använder samma data från träningstillfällen för att säkerställa att träningen är rätt utformad och att patienten får bästa förutsättningar att bli återställd. Patienten får samma kvalitet på träning oavsett var den befinner sig!

It is an obvious paradox that we as citizens, present in all clinical health encounters, lack tools to take full advantage of ongoing digital transformation in health care. In this panel we will discuss user needs and design of digital tool to improve access to personally relevant health information from trusted sources. Of special interest is adherence to treatment. The attendees can learn about opportunities to “collect, curate and control” relevant, personal health information, and digital services for personal health data and access trustworthy, up-to-date information that better meet situated, everyday needs.
