News & Updates
July, 2026
We’ve spent the summer building, and it shows! This release is headlined by our brand new V3 API, a modern way for your developers and integrations to read your organization’s data and import records in bulk, with API key management rebuilt to match. Beyond the API, participants can now register without an email address and we’re welcoming five new languages: Russian, Turkish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Italian. And there’s plenty more inside!
A glimpse of what’s next: the V3 API also powers our new MCP server, which lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot work directly with your InvitePeople data. Early access opens later this summer, but you can already register your interest with your InvitePeople representative. Enjoy the read!
A new V3 API and better API key management ⚙️
- InvitePeople now has a V3 API. A modern way for your developers and integrations to read your organization’s data (events, participants, orders, sessions, meetings, and much more) and to import records in bulk. Point your developers to the developer docs at https://invitepeople.com/help/developer to get started.
- The
API Authenticationpage inSupervisorhas been rebuilt around API keys. You can now create as many named keys as you need, one per integration, and give each key exactly the access it should have. Keys can have an expiry date, be rotated to a new secret, or be revoked entirely, and the list shows when each key was last used. Your existing credential keeps working as before.
Let participants register without an email address ✉️
- You can now collect registrations from participants who don’t have (or don’t want to share) an email address. On the registration email field under
Settings→Profiles→Registration information, setEmail requirement per ticket typetoRequired,Optional, orHiddenfor each ticket type. When someone registers without an email, their ticket and email batches are sent to the person who bought the order instead, so nothing is lost. A participant without an email is clearly marked on their profile page in the admin backend.
A new home for registration settings – with new options 📝
- Order and registration settings now have a dedicated
Registration settingspage underSettings→Event settings. Here you’ll find ticket limits, your event currency, VAT-display rules, and QR code options. TheTicket typesmenu is now calledRegistration (Ticket types). - Two new settings have been made available on the
Registration settingspageMinimum time before unfinished orders are automatically removeddecides how long an unfinished order can hold its reserved tickets before it’s released for others.Only one registration ticket per participantlimits each participant to a single entrance ticket for the event.
Localization Updates 🌍
- Five new languages have been released for participant views:
Russian,Turkish,Portuguese,Portuguese (Brazil), andItalian. - You can now decide whether participant-facing language pickers show country flags or plain text symbols. On the
Languagepage underSettings→Event settings, use theLanguage displayoption to pickFlags and symbols(the default) orSymbols only. WithSymbols only, each language is shown as a short text label (for exampleEN,SV,简) instead of a flag.
Payment Updates💰
- The order page now links straight to the payment in the Stripe or Mollie dashboard: look for the
Stripe Payment/Mollie Paymentrow in the order’s payment summary. - Partial refunds you issue through your payment provider — Stripe, Mollie, or the Nets Easy portal — are now reflected on the order in InvitePeople automatically. The refund shows as its own line and the order total is reduced by the refunded amount. Tickets stay in place on a partial refund; a full refund still cancels the order’s tickets.
General Improvements 💻
- Meeting places can now be marked as TBD while you finalize room assignments. Participants see
TBDinstead of the name and description until rooms are ready. Publish a single place by unticking the box in the form atSettings→Configure calendar→Places, or usePublish all TBD meeting placeson the same page to reveal them all at once. - Chats now have a
File uploadssetting next to the existingImage uploadssetting. When enabled, regular participants can attach files (such as documents and other materials) to their chat messages – not just images. Chat moderators and admins can always upload files. This setting opens it up to everyone. - When entering a mobile phone number, the country’s dial code (for example
+46) now appears in its own box next to the country flag, and users simply type the rest of the number. Choose the country from the flag dropdown and the dial code updates automatically. - Organization reports can now be shared with specific people by email — without giving them admin access. Go to
Supervisor→Reports→Shared lists, choose which columns to share, and add the recipients. They open the report in theirReportingsection (now organized byOrganizationsas well asEvents) to preview, refresh, and download it. - Improved Help Center search, with the matching text highlighted in your results and in the article you open.
Exports Updates 💾
- The session exports (
Session information,Session grid, andSessions and content managers) now have aFilter listbutton. You can narrow an export to a start/end time window, specific statuses, categories, locations, content manager links, and – on events using session reviews – a range of average review scores. ClickFilter liston the session export underReporting→Exports, set your filters, and generate the list. - A new
