News & Updates

August, 2025

Every fall, the industry kicks back into high gear. From September to November, there’s a surge of conferences, expos, partner days, and events – prime time for InvitePeople! With that in mind, we’re happy to share that we’ve spent the summer rolling out upgrades: better matchmaking, faster on-site badge printing, smoother payment and invoice handling, and easier admin navigation. This newsletter comes packed with updates. We hope you like it!

Matchmaking & Meeting Generation 🤝

  • A new setting for Meeting parties, found at Assigned meetingsMeeting partiesEdit has been released: Use as tags when rating. Profile fields with kind List, Radio buttons, and Multiple choice checkboxes, and the setting Use for meeting partakers checked will show. When you set a profile field to Use as tags when rating for a Meeting party, a tag filter will appear for Meeting partakers when adding or editing their ratings.
  • A new setting when generating Assigned meetings has been released: Transfer tags to meetings. The setting will appear if any of the Partakers from the selected Meeting parties have Tags added to them. When you check this setting for a Meeting party, all partakers’ tags in that Meeting party will be transferred to their respective generated meetings.
  • A new button has been added below the Unmark as busy button at AdministerParticipantsHandle calendar for: Unmark entire day. This allows you to remove all slots marked as busy for a whole day when managing a participant’s calendar.

On-site Printing 🖨

  • The Ticket checkin view has a new feature: Print mode. If you enable Print mode, a preview of the badge will open, and the system print dialog will automatically trigger when you check in a ticket. This allows for quick printing of badges directly from the Ticket checkin view on-site. To make the printing as smooth as possible: configure the default system printer settings to function with the preferred badge format, and open the web browser in “Kiosk printing mode“ or “Silent printing mode”. Then badges will print directly, bypassing the system print dialog.
  • The Ticket checkin view search is now compatible with QR code scanners connected via USB for fast lookup of participants on-site.
  • When setting up a new PDF ticket, you can now choose which Printer the PDF ticket should represent. This is handy if you need different designs for different printer formats, especially when a custom printer format is in use.

E-mail Sendouts ✉️

  • The codes that generate links, eg, when creating Email batches, editing Confirmation emails, or sending out SMS batches, are now clearly marked with a Personal link label in the table. This change is there to emphasize that all the generated links are individual and not intended for sharing.
  • The codes /*EVENTLINK*/ and /*PROMO-CODE-CODE-<CODE>*/ when creating Email batches have changed somewhat. Previously, the personalized part of the URL was hidden in the emails, but now it is fully visible. While this makes for a little bit more complex URLs, not as nice to the eye, it will prevent the potential mixup of personal invitation links.

Payments & Invoicing 💰

  • A new invoice search function has been released, found at SupervisorInvoicesInvoices. From here, you can search and find all invoices across all events in your organization.
  • A whole new concept has been released: Invoice addresses. The addresses are managed at SupervisorInvoicesInvoice addresses and allow Supervisors to keep an address registry for invoices, accessible across all events of the organization.
  • A new filter when searching for invoices has been made available: Days past date. This new filter allows you to filter out invoices that is a number of days or more past the invoice date. This is handy when finding invoices that have not yet been paid (Status: Sent), and is, for example, 37 days past the invoice date (Days past date: 37 days or more).
  • You can now download Credit notes for invoices as PDF in the administrator backend. After an invoice has been Marked as refunded, the PDF can be downloaded by clicking on Download PDF on the Refund row found in the info table for the invoice.
  • The German e-invoice format Zugferd is now available as an alternative for invoice delivery. Zugferd is an e-invoice, machine-readable, XML format that embeds into PDFs delivered via email. Please reach out to us if you are interested in e-invoicing for the German market.
  • When you enter the Price of a Ticket type, there is now a read-only field called Calculated net to help you quickly see the resulting price, both including and excluding VAT. This new field is informational only and will not affect the event or ticket configurations.

General Administrator Backend Improvements 💻

  • You can now search for items in the administrator backend main navigation by using the Find in menu field. Found items will be expanded and highlighted.
  • The Need help? widget now allows you to search across articles and displays categories for richer context when browsing.
  • When the Logged in views are closed for participants, this is now indicated directly in the main navigation in the administrator backend under Event links.
  • The statistics available at SupervisorStatistics has a new filter: All departments / Filtered departments. This allows you to fetch a cross-section of data for one or more departments.
