Mr. Jayesh Parmar
Tisdag 20 maj 2025 11:45 - 11:50 Open Stage B10:61
English, Enbart på plats
In many parts of India and similar developing regions, access to advanced medical technologies like MRI machines, CT scanners, and high-end ultrasound systems is severely limited due to their prohibitive costs. Mr. Parmar will present the immense potential in refurbishing and extending the lifecycle of such sophisticated medical equipment.Through expertise in recycling and refurbishment, Mahaarana Industries is now exploring opportunities for the collection, refurbishment, and redeployment of these absolute high-end medical devices, making them affordable and accessible to a much larger segment of healthcare providers. The presentation will cover the technical and regulatory frameworks enabling the safe refurbishment of medical devices, highlight case studies and global success models, and outline a roadmap for building an efficient ecosystem in India for the collection, refurbishment, and resale of high-end medical equipment. It will also emphasize the positive social impact—improving healthcare access and reducing e-waste. This initiative supports the broader mission of making quality healthcare more accessible and sustainable by extending the life of advanced medical technologies.

Our innovative technology, the Enhanced Ear for Caregivers, uses automatic sound analysis to monitor vulnerable people remotely. Our solution gives caregivers and families peace of mind, knowing that they will be alerted immediately in case of an emergency. When a critical event is detected, such as a fall, a call for help, or any other distressing sound, our system immediately sends an alert to the designated carer's mobile phone. This notification allows the caregiver to remotely assess the situation, determine its nature and urgency, and ensure prompt and appropriate assistance. Leader in sound recognition, OSO-AI has developed a groundbreaking technology : The Enhanced Ear for Caregivers, designed to improve response times and safety in healthcare environments (Nursing homes and health facilities for people with disabilities). Supported by a team of over 50 employees and two rounds of funding totaling 14 million euros, OSO-AI has established a strong presence across France and is fast growing internationally, solidifying its position as a key innovator in healthcare technology.

Best of France - A foundation model for 3D radiological imaging: making precision radiology a reality
Sebastian Schwarz
Tisdag 20 maj 2025 13:20 - 13:30 Open Stage B10:61
English, Enbart på plats
Current AI solutions are narrow in scope, tackling isolated tasks (e.g., organ segmentation) rather than providing an end-to-end, AI-driven diagnostic workflow. Radiologists waste time toggling between fragmented systems, reducing efficiency. Current progress in machine learning research, in particular foundation models, offers new perspectives. This talk will address how the seamless measure of context aware, advanced biomarkers, as well as a new multi-modal interface for radiologists, holds the promise of bridging research and care and make precision radiology a reality for patients.

Virtuality - Utilizing Synthetic Data and a Digital Health Sandbox for Complex Care Simulations
Fanny Apelgren
Tisdag 20 maj 2025 14:00 - 14:30 F1
Data / Information, English, Live + på plats, Presentation, Inspiration, Introduktion, Tekniker/IT/Utvecklare, Forskare (även studerande), Studerande, Vårdpersonal, Innovation/forskning, Test/validering, Användbarhet, Informatik/Interoperabilitet
Virtual tests with simulated health care processes and synthetic data is a new complementary method to traditional testing of products, tools and systems. In this session we will describe Virtuality, a concept for virtual testing using synthetic data, digital sandbox environments and third-party applications to simulate health care processes. The concept enables early testing of digital systems and tools in a safe environment, allowing stakeholders from both academia, industry and public service to research, develop and prototype systems and tools before implementation. Virtuality helps with aspects such as addressing regulatory compliance, reduce
development costs, getting rid of bugs before going into clinical trials and perform testing before real data is accessible. The aim with the concept is that a broad group of practitioners should be able to use and benefit from the virtual environment and simulation of healthcare scenarios.
