Modern health information systems in healthcare are a prerequisite for the transformation of healthcare. They enable patient participation, decision support and real-time data sharing. Many Nordic countries, like Sweden, have recently introduced new EHR systems or are planning to do so. The aim of this session is to share lessons and insights on both implementation and use of health data. What can we learn from each other and what should be coordinated now that half of Sweden is changing EHR systems? What needs to be done nationally? What will be the next step?
