Thursday May 16, 2024 09:35 - 10:00 F1
Lecturer: Marianne Benderra
Track: The European Health Data Space; a health specific ecosystem
France has been one of the first European countries to adopt specific national legislation on secondary use of health data and to set up a national actor responsible for making health data available for secondary use : the Health Data hub which has a role similar to that of a Health Data Access Body. The presentation will present progress and lessons learned around setting up the HDH after 4 years.
The French Health Data Hub is very engaged at the European level within the establishment of the European Health Data Space. Specifically, the HDH is the coordinator of the HealthData@EU pilot project, developing a test version of the European infrastructure for secondary use of health data (HealthData@EU). The second part of the session will provide an update on the progress within the project, challenges faced and work remaining before the end of the project.
