Tisdag 14 maj 2024 13:40 - 14:05 F-Expo
Föreläsare: Annabelle Painter, Dr James Ray, Shaun Crinion
NHS England's London team oversees the care of over 8 million people. Award-winning for their approach to innovation, the team has the ambition of making London the healthiest global city.
In this presentation, hear from NHS thought-leader Shaun Crinion as he explains his vision for a Smart Triage Service in NHS11 (similar to 1177 in Sweden), an equitable first point of entry for all people entering the health system.
AI-enabled patient triage has been introduced to the NHS patients as a first line assessment, that triages to ensure resources are best used depending on the clinical need as well as providing a convenient pathway for patients.
At present, 32% patients accessing out-of-hours clinical advice end up being navigated to emergency services. Based on health economics modelling, the Smart Triage Service is anticipated to reduce inappropriate attendances by 24%.
Shaun is joined by NHS England National Clinical Advisor for Urgent Care, Dr James Ray, to present this novel project that is set to improve the access to care for millions.
