Ökad patientsäkerhet är ett av de viktigaste målen med det nya EU-gemensamma regelverket för medicintekniska produkter, MDR. Efter två år med det nya regelverket och en förlängning av övergångsreglerna är det hög tid för tillverkare och användare att anpassa sig till de nya reglerna. Vad innebär övergångsreglerna för användare och tillverkare? Vad är de viktigaste skillnaderna mellan det nya och det gamla regelverket? Hur kan jag som inköpare/upphandlare använda MDR i mitt val av system? Hur gör tillverkare för att bli certifierade?Stefan Jernberg är Chief Regulatory Officer på Cuviva AB och han har tagit deras produkt, Cuviva Remote Patient Monitoring Platform, genom MDR-certifiering enligt klass IIa som en av de första medicintekniska programvarorna för egenmonitorering. Stefan har över 25 års erfarenhet från programvaruindustrin varav 10 inom medicinteknik.

A demonstration of an open source software prototype for improving infection control in hospitals called Smart Infection Control System (SmICS). It provides services for tracing contacts between patients, showing in-depth details for microbiological findings, patients movements and wards and offers epidemiological curves without having a vendor-dependent data storage within the application, because it is fully based upon an open interoperability standard (openEHR).

The automatic de-identification of clinical narrative text offers efficient patient data privacy protection and eases reuse of clinical data. CliniDeID applies an ensemble method combining deep and shallow machine learning with rule-based algorithms and is released as free and open-source solution to de-identify unstructured clinical text with high accuracy. It was recently evaluated with a selection of clinical text corpora and reached high sensitivity and positive predictive value.

Uppgiftsväxling/ delande (Task shifting / sharing)
Varför?Vården har alltid utvecklats och förändrats, vi gör inte på samma sätt och vi arbetar inte på samma vis som vi gjorde ens för bara 10–20 år sedan. Medicinsk utveckling bidrar såklart, men förändringar sker även utifrån att samhället förändras. Våra behov, våra utmaningar och möjligheter ser inte ut på samma vis längre som förr. Vi måste helt enkelt anpassa oss och förändras utifrån de förutsättningar vi har. Med en ökad andel åldrande befolkning och en minskad andel av befolkning i arbetsför ålder går ekvationen inte ihop om vi fortsätter arbeta som vi gör i dag helt enkelt. Vare sig vi vill eller inte måste vi ändra våra arbetssätt. Det är annars som att stoppa en våg med händerna. Det går inte, men vi kan lära oss att surfa på vågen!
