Agnese Pastorino is Technical Officer at WHO Headquarters in Geneva. Prior to that, she has worked in the infodemic management team for the WHO Regional Office for Europe and in misinformation management with UNICEF on COVID-19, Ebola response in South Sudan and DRC Congo. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Education Cannot Wait External Review Panel, the Global United Nations Fund for Education in Emergencies. Since September 2022, she has also been a Lecturer at the ISCOM Institut de Communication in Paris.
She holds a PhD in Sociology from the School of Medicine of the Sorbonne University, where she's an associate researcher at the CERLIS research center in Paris. She has been a member of several international associations of communication and sociology, such as the ICA, the ECREA, the IAMCR and the ESA.
