This talk aims to present the need for rethinking the education and skillset needed for doctors in the future. The education of doctors is getting more and more sub-specialized and focused on small groups of diagnosis. But the biggest challenges in healthcare are categorized as “Wicked problems” and transcend sectors, disciplines and diseases. That could be a paradox that hinders doctors’ engagement in the development of implementable solutions to the world’s biggest needs. This calls for much-needed change. The talk will include an analysis of the skillset and profile of doctors today compared to the desirable skills needed for innovating the sector and supporting a digital transition. It will touch among others on overconfidence, growth mindset, inattentional blindness, and T-profiles.
There will be examples of how theories and learnings from entrepreneurship and interdisciplinary research can inspire us - and how we can increase the possibilities of creating sustainable solutions for better health and well-being with a global impact.

As a medical student, I sold my first ICT concept for the healthcare sector. Since then, I have been inspired by the potential of how harnessing an interdisciplinary approach and merging technology, can improve health-related quality of life while at the same time reducing cost. I love to be part of creating movement in big organizations through agile development. I work with business creation, innovation, and entrepreneurship where government, the private sector, and academia converge. My outset is a global perspective on need, implementation, and scalability.
I have obtained a high success rate through creativity and passion for driving innovation and building trust.
