Ms. Petersen is Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics and Senior Editor of the consumer health information website mayoclinic.org at Mayo Clinic. She has master’s degrees in biomedical informatics and exercise and movement science, and is a certified exercise physiologist. Ms. Petersen is a former consumer representative on US FDA medical device advisory panels, a former member of PCORI’s Advisory Panel on Healthcare Delivery and Disparities, and a member of AMIA’s Ethics Committee. Her research interests include social media, use of patient-generated health data, and information quality.
