Connect4Health via NordXDataspace at Vitalis

Full description: https://nxd.devpost.com/

The Connect4Health healthcare connectathon using NordxDataspace aims to promote digital wallets and Solid pods as a data intermediary through a trusted data intermediation service to enable organisations to become part of the European Health Data Space while ensuring data privacy, human-centric use of personal data and digital rights. Specifically, the objectives are to:

  1. Demonstrate the secure and seamless exchange of healthcare data between different healthcare systems using NordxDataspace as a data intermediary, digital wallets and Solid pods while ensuring compliance with data regulations such as GDPR, EU DGA, EU DA, and the European Health Data Space.

  2. Educate healthcare stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, IT vendors, and government agencies, on the benefits of using digital wallets and Solid pods as healthcare intermediaries and how to protect data privacy and human-centric use of personal data and digital rights.

  3. Encourage the adoption of NordxDataspace and digital wallets/Solid pods to promote interoperability and collaboration in healthcare while ensuring the protection of data privacy, human-centric use of personal data, and digital rights.

KEY CHALLENGES

The challenges we invite you to tackle are:

Challenge 1: Onboard and adopt digital wallets into your existing applications to be in dApp capabilities.

Challenge 2: Use a data exchange use case relevant to your area and showcase it using data wallets and data pods—a bonus for adopting new data sources (DS) than what you currently have to create new services and insights.

REQUIREMENTS

GET STARTED

1. Register

2. Propose a solution

3. If physically present please bring your passport it may come in handy (not-mandatory, but appreciated)

4. Build and demo it as part of a health data ecosystem using digital wallets, pods etc.

WHAT TO BUILD

Bring in decentralised App (dApp) capabilities to your existing or new app related to healthcare.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

Idea specifications, preferably with a demo video

PRIZES

 WILL BE ANNOUNCED SEPARATELY (3)

The team offers mentorship to develop the idea further and look at potential financial opportunities to realise it.

JUDGING CRITERIA

  • Innovativeness
The level of innovativeness of the proposed solution using digital wallets and solid pods. Max points: 5
  • Use of digital wallets for data exchange
The proposed solution shall leverage data, preferably using digital wallet technologies. Max points: 10
  • Use of data pods
The proposed solution shall leverage data using mechanisms like data pods, for e.g. backup and restore to an individual's own pods with your proposed application using it. Max points: 5
  • Real-demonstrable prototype
The proposed solution shall be demonstrable in some form. Real code written with a working prototype scores full points. Max points: 10
  • 2-3 mins demo video
A short 2-3 mins video to explain the data challenge you have; your solution will score a bonus. Max bonus points: 5
