IVO får återkommande in information om patienter som på olika sätt har farit illa inom förlossningsvården. Vi ser att brister i patientsäkerheten rör komplicerade förlossningar med psykiska och fysiska skador som följd och i värsta fall att kvinnor och barn dör.
Därför genomför IVO just nu en tillsyn av förlossningsvården som omfattar samtliga förlossningskliniker i Sverige. IVO bedriver riskbaserad tillsyn vilket innebär att tillsynen riktas till de områden där behovet av tillsynsinsatser är som störst. För att identifiera dessa områden har IVO granskat en omfattande mängd Lex Maria-anmälningar genom ett textanalysverktyg.
I detta seminarium beskriver IVO:s generaldirektör Sofia Wallström iakttagelserna i IVO:s pågående tillsyn av förlossningsvården och hur IVO arbetar med utveckling av digitala verktyg samt hur IVO som tillsynsmyndighet kan bidra till att utveckla dataanalys och återföring till de granskade verksamheterna.
