Track: Innovation Area
Life science innovations face a new era of development, as Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become the way of exceeding beyond the human limitations of technological development. It is a growing market with immense potential, but a challenging field to navigate. AI has several application areas within Life Science; it can be used for diagnosis, enhanced decision-making, drug discovery, personalized treatments, and patient monitoring, only to mention a few. The number of AI medical devices has increased drastically over the past years and the market is expected to grow with approximately 37% annually. However, this path forward is scattered with numerous challenges that demand careful navigation and innovative solutions, making it imperative for companies to identify and overcome these obstacles to drive effective and transformative innovation.
This presentation is based on a recent empirical study of Nordic companies and organizations, and provides insights on the most common challenges companies face when developing and providing AI medical devices as well as strategies on how to effectively address these challenges.
The session extends a warm welcome to all professionals in the medical devices industry, whether you are already working with AI or see it in the horizon. By the end of the presentation, you will be better equipped to tackle both upcoming and existing challenges in the development of AI medical devices.
