Promoting continuity of care across sectors in Denmark by means of a comprehensive national eHealth infrastructure Passed
Tuesday May 14, 2024 14:00 - 14:25 F1
Lecturer: Kenneth Bøgelund Ahrensberg
Denmark aims at promoting coherence across sectors by means of a comprehensive national eHealth infrastructure. The infrastructure is continually built out to support the sharing of data in more and more areas. The backbone of the infrastructure is a National Service Platform that in the first instance was instrumental in the sharing of medication information through the Danish national service called the Shared Medication Record. The Shared Medication Record ensures the sharing of medication information regarding every Danish citizen and is today fully implemented across the whole healthcare service. New services are continually added to the infrastructure.
The presentation will give an overview of how the work with cross-sectoral digitalization in Denmark is undertaken, both in relation to the principles behind as well as the data being shared.
