What is THE WORLD HYDROGEN SUMMIT?

The World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition is the leading global platform for hydrogen business. For the first time, Sweden is arranging an official delegation, including tailored activities pre-, during, and post-conference, which is held in Rotterdam from 13-15 May 2024.

The World Hydrogen Summit is the world's largest dedicated hydrogen event, arranged in partnership with the Dutch Government, the Province of Zuid Holland, the City of Rotterdam, and the Port of Rotterdam. In 2023 the Summit brought together over 15,000 high-level attendees and 2,000+ delegates, comprised of government representatives, researchers, innovative frontrunners, and private sector leaders dedicated solely to hydrogen industry advancement.

The 2024 Summit will convene the world’s policy and strategy leaders at the forefront of ground-breaking hydrogen projects to share the latest advancements and collaborate towards accelerated deployment. At the World Hydrogen Summit, participants are able to showcase their latest solutions to global customers, decisionmakers and stakeholders, and support the green energy transition.

SME/public: SEK 12 500


Participation fee is ex VAT. SME/public includes a 50% subsidy from Business Sweden. Large companies not eligible for subsidized participation fee. Final participation fee may be lower depending on the number of participants.

Additional activities include:

  • Nordic-Dutch B2B roundtables

  • Full project management in terms of coordination before & during the Summit

Final activities are still under development, Business Sweden will publish and share information when confirmed.

Site visits

  • A full-day tour of the industrial cluster and various hydrogen projects in the Port of Rotterdam
  • Focus is on green and blue hydrogen plants, a hydrogen backbone, and import terminals
  • Visit to construction site of Shell's 200MW electrolyser, as well as the expansion of an existing ammonia terminal

While free to attend, the site visits have limited space and require extra registration to secure your spot.


The fine print:

  • Participation includes one Summit Access Pass. Contact Business Sweden if you would like to register multiple participants from the same company
  • The price is excl. VAT and calculated based on 12 participating companies and a 50% subsidy.  Large companies are not eligible to receive a subsidized price
  • If the number of participating companies changes, we reserve the right to offer participation at a different price. Should this result in a higher price than the one quoted, you have the right to cancel your participation
  • Participants are responsible for their own travel-related reservations and fees, such as flights, hotel, transfers, and meals outside of the delegation programme

Business Sweden is Sweden's official trade and investment promotion agency, tasked by the Government of Sweden to help Swedish companies grow global sales and international companies to invest and expand in Sweden. The office in The Hague provides support and guidance to Swedish businesses seeking opportunities in the Dutch market, acting as a liaison to foster collaborations and enhance economic ties between the two countries.

The Embassy of Sweden in The Hague is responsible for maintaining the strong bilateral relations between Sweden and the Netherlands. Together with Business Sweden, the embassy actively promotes business relations by facilitating networking events, trade missions, and business forums that bring together Swedish and Dutch enterprises.
The Swedish Hydrogen Development Center (SHDC) is an innovation cluster run by RISE, the Research Institutes of Sweden. The network gathers professionals in industrial hydrogen, from researchers to business developers and decision-makers. SHDC supports the generation of various research and commercial projects to contribute to Sweden's journey towards a sustainable industry.


Hydrogen Sweden (Vätgas Sverige) is Sweden's national platform for the development of hydrogen. Its mission is to accelerate Swedish sustainable development and competitiveness. Together with its members and partners, Hydrogen Sweden works actively on the promotion of the role of hydrogen gas in Sweden. The platform acts as an initiator, coordinator and spreader of knowledge and advocates its member's interest toward public authorities and decision-makers.
