Hur kan vi kombinera schysta jobb, hållbarhet och social rättvisa? Missa inte ett samtal om Just Transition: vad innebär det, hur funkar det, varför behövs det?
Obs! Seminariet är på engelska.
Research demonstrates that the greening of our economies has the potential to create 24 million new jobs. At the same time, 6 million jobs are in risk of being lost. This calls for active policies in order to protect those affected and to ensure a Just Transition, with proactive measures to create opportunities in greener sectors that face decent work deficits.
The Just Transition concept was initially developed by trade unions. This session will be a deeper conversation on Just Transition within the field of international development cooperation. It will promote a discussion on how we can move towards a formula that combines decent work, social justice and climate-resilient and low-carbon economy.
The recent report from Union to Union on Just Transition in a developing countries context will be the starting point for the conversation.
