I samhällsomvandlingen av norra Sverige finns en strävan att attrahera människor från olika delar av världen. Samtidigt vittnar utrikesfödda eller rasifierade personer om ett hårdnande samhällsklimat med ökade uttryck av rasism. Hur skapar vi ett Norrland fritt från rasism, och vilken roll spelar civilsamhället för att undanröja hinder och möjliggöra för fler att delta i samhällsutvecklingen?
Studieförbundet Bilda har under det senaste året drivit projektet ”Organisering och mobilisering för antirasism” i Umeå, i nära samverkan med parters inom civilsamhället och ett nätverk som startades ad hoc hösten 2022 som markering för värden som många civilsamhällesorganisationer ser som centrala. Utifrån dessa erfarenheter dras i detta samtal några nycklar ut kring hur vi behöver agera för att skapa ett Norrland fritt från rasism.
