Tools for faster implementation of AI in diagnostics
Tuesday May 20, 2025 14:00 - 14:30 Innovation area
Lecturers: Barbara Simell, Erik Stenberg, Karen Lindegaard
Track: Innovation, Innovation Area
Everyone is talking about AI, but why are so few AI solutions implemented in healthcare?
The last three years the CAIDX project has worked with creating tools for speeding up the implementation of AI solutions within diagnostics.
Based on prior experiences, and interviews with clinicians, we have identified barriers and pitfalls, but also success factors. This has formed the basis for the tools that we have created.
The tools cover the whole process from identifying a clinical need, checklists for how to structure an implementation project, how to structure a collaboration with industry, and a Clinical AI Pathway and an implementation guide, that outlines the whole process for how to reach the goal of a rolled out AI solution in a clinical setting.
In this lecture, we want to present these tools to a wider audience.
CAIDX is a cooperation between:
The Innovation Clinic, Aalborg University Hospital, AUH Innovation, Aarhus University Hospital, Lower Silesian Centre of Oncology, Pulmonology and Hematology, Rostock University Medical Centre, The wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland, Tartu Business and Technology Park, Biocon Valley, Business Turku, Danish Life Science Cluster, University of Rostock, Innovation Skåne , Wroclaw Technology Park, and is financed by Interreg Baltic Sea Region.
