Currently, in Sweden, the responsibilities, budgets and organizations in the public health and social care sector is divided between regions and municipalities. When running both services within the same responsible organization or with common goals, there is several benefits for the citizen, employees and for the healthcare budget. Some countries, like Finland and Netherlands, have already adopted this approach with promising results.
