Japan–Norway Business Summit 2-3 June 2026

Held on the occasion of the Official Visit of H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon of Norway to Japan

Japanese and Norwegian companies are cordially invited to participate in the Japan–Norway Business Summit, taking place in Tokyo on 2–3 June 2026 in connection with the Official Visit of H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, who will be accompanied by the Norwegian Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Marianne Sivertsen Næss, State Secretary Ragnhild Sjoner Syrstad, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries

The summit reflects the close and longstanding partnership between Japan and Norway and builds on the Strategic Partnership established in 2023.

Bringing together senior representatives from industry, government and research communities, the summit serves as a platform for strengthening long-term industrial partnerships, advancing technology and research collaboration, and identifying concrete business opportunities between Norwegian and Japanese actors.

The programme is designed to strengthen collaboration between Norway and Japan, promote resilient value chains, and advance cooperation in areas of shared strategic importance — including seafood, maritime industries, defence and advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, as well as emerging areas of industrial and research collaboration.
