Norway–India Business and Research Summit
Oslo, May 18, 2026
As part of the official visit to Norway by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 18–19 May 2026, Norway–India Business and Research Summit will bring together senior decision-makers from industry, research and government to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Norway and India.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Norway since 1983 and underscores the growing importance of Norway’s and the Nordic region’s cooperation with India on trade, technology, energy, climate, research and international security.
Building on the opportunities created by the 2024 India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), the Summit aims to accelerate trade, investment, innovation and industrial partnerships between Norway and India.
The programme includes a series of parallel sectoral sessions hosted by Norwegian partner institutions and organisations across Oslo, followed by a High-Level Summit hosted by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries and Innovation Norway at Oslo City Hall.
The programme will bring together leading Norwegian and Indian stakeholders from business, research and government through high-level discussions, thematic sector sessions, signing ceremonies and curated roundtable discussions.
