Brenda Nyaradzai Muronda is a program officer for La Via Campesina Southern and Eastern Africa based in Harare, Zimbabwe. She is part of a regional staff team working with peasants on youth representation, climate justice, agroecology and peasant rights.
With over 10 years experience in development work, she is deeply passionate about human rights issues especially as they pertain to marginalised and disadvantaged communities.
La Via Campesina's work on peasant rights, climate justice and agroecology has largely been focused on building advocacy tools to create awareness to conduct trainings and assist members organizations and allies to engage in policy advocacy for the betterment of livelihoods.
Sharing of best practises as key interventions such as peasant agroecology. LAC have completed research studies in 7 countries in Southern and Eastern Africa on climate change, climate justice and agroecology.
