What is it like to be a journalist reporting from a conflict zone? Independent journalists are not allowed in Western Sahara, occupied by Morocco.
Brave activists use their cameras to document Moroccan violations of human rights in Africa’s last colony, Western Sahara. They are taken severe risks by filming peaceful demonstrations where the Sahrawi people are being attacked by Moroccan forces.
Hear the unique stories by Naziha El Khalidi, an active journalist from occupied Western Sahara and Swedish journalist Anna Roxvall, who recently reported from the area.
Frida Dunger Johnsson is the Secretary General of the non-profit organisation Emmaus Stockholm, that has been working for Western Sahara's right to self-determination since the 1970’s.
