Newcomers Youth is a project by RFSL Ungdom that aims to creat safe spaces for lgbtq youth within the asylum process. The project won the UNDP prize for best inclusion 2018 concerning the Sustainable development goals. LGBTQ youth in the asylum process is one of the most vulnerable groups in society. The group is facing a multiple form of discrimination, violence and threat in our society today. In order to protect and ensure the safety of this group a intersectional analysis must be adapted by societal actors in contact with this group. This seminar will discuss the groups vulnerability and what kind of support should be offered.
