Human rights put the individual at the center. This means that follow-up and analysis of different decisions or operations need to be based on the individual's rights, not just based on the results of the business. The results also need to be integrated into control and management systems so that they become part of the continuous improvement work. In the follow-up and analysis work, the chances of incorporating the human rights perspective and making visible gaps, discrepancies, incorrect assumptions, etc., increase by providing reference groups with rightsholders, civil society and residents.
But how can we work with analysis in relation to human rights? What is important to think about? Who will be responsible for the analysis, and how can rightsholders be involved in the work?
Listen to how York in England follows up and analyzes in collaboration with the university, civil society and others.
