Vi behöver inte prata om fred i Sverige - eller? Passed

I detta seminarium vill vi, Life & Peace Institute (LPI), föra ett samtal med deltagarna. Ett interaktivt samtal som rör sig kring frågan om det är relevant att prata om saker som ’fred’ och ’fredsbyggande’ i ett land som, av många, ses som fredligt och som en stark demokrati. LPI har sedan 1980-talet arbetat, i partnerskap med andra, för fred med fokus på Afrikas horn. År 2018 så började organisationen även att arbeta i Sverige. Men hur vi kan prata om fred i ett land som inte upplevt väpnad konflikt på 200 år?
Under den här timmen vill vi ha ett öppet samtal om saker som rör fred i Sverige – saker som trygghet, tillit, och inkludering. Särskild plats vill vi ge till unga, för att dela sina upplevelser och erfarenheter. Efter en kort överblick av vårt arbete, och våra insikter, i Sverige sedan 2018 kommer vi att bjuda in deltagarna att, på olika sätt, dela sina upplevelser och erfarenheter. Vi hoppas att deltagarna lämnar seminariet med nya insikter om hur fred kan förstås och pratas om i ett land som Sverige och, kanske, att de också känner sig inspirerade att bidra till ett fredligare Sverige på sitt eget vis.
