FN:s konvention om barnets rättigheter har nu mer än trettio år på nacken. En av grundpelarna i deklarationen är barnens rätt att uttrycka sin mening och vara delaktig i beslut som påverkar dem. Något som kan tyckas vara en självklarhet men som ofta har ignorerats. Men sakta men säkert har ändå myndigheter och andra samhällsaktörer börjat skapa arenor för att ge barn chans att uttrycka sina åsikter. Vi känner igen företeelser som elevråd, barnkonsultation och barnkonsekvensanalys. Men frågan är om vi har nått hela vägen för att ge barnen ett verkligt medinflytande? Vilka frågor får barn tycka till om? Är det någon som lyssnar på vad de säger? Och vilken kategori av barn är det som får komma till tals; är det bara de väletablerade och högpresterande? Seminariet samlar röster från barn i Sverige och andra delar av världen som får berätta om sina erfarenheter av att vara delaktiga i frågor som berör dem. I seminariet deltar också företrädare för myndigheter i Sverige och andra länder som får ge sin syn på vad barn kan och får möjlighet att bidra med i sina sammanhang.
