From should to did – Taking bold bets to transform lives of 500 million small-hold farmers Video on demand

Sunday December 10, 2023 09:00 - 09:40 +04 Swedish Pavilion

Partner: Spowdi

There exists a gap between intent and action for a green and just transition in agriculture and food production. For a sustainable and resilient food production system, technological innovations and financial mechanisms must be made accessible to the last-mile; that is the small-hold farmer. Like any entrepreneur, when a small-hold farmer has access to capital or a financial ‘kick-start’, she/he can accelerate a transformation to a more productive, sustainable and resilient food production system. What will it take for impact enablers (industry, policy makers and climate financiers) to pivot from a piecemeal approach to an all-in approach?
