This session will explore why the farmed salmon value chain must take more action to build reliable markets for diverse ingredients, de-risk supply of essential nutrients and reduce biological, economic and environmental risk through better nutrition. Whilst EPA&DHA supply risk is the most urgent problem to solve, in solving this we can create a model for other ingredients too. More reliable markets are needed by innovators to continue to invest in building capacity to deliver commercially viable feed ingredient solutions at scale, building more resilient supply chains and supporting the healthy and sustainable development of salmon farming in Norway and the rest of the world.
