During the past years, the adaption of HL7 FHIR has increased worldwide, including Europe and Sweden, and regulations like EHDS that stipulate the usage of FHIR indicate that this development will continue.

In Sweden, multiple actors, such as the Swedish eHealth Agency, Regional Cancer Centres (RCC) in Sweden or The Public Health Agency of Sweden, have developed and are developing interoperability solutions that are based on FHIR. In order to keep up with the surrounding developments, Region Stockholm has started a regional working group to coordinate and support the use of FHIR within the region.

This session will present Region Stockholm's ongoing work on the HL7 FHIR standard, e.g. the set up of the regional working group, regional profiles that have been developed, ongoing mapping work from local formats to FHIR (in order to for instance produce data to the National Vaccination Registry (NVR).
