Renos Hub: Empowering Remote Healthcare Professionals through Community and Support

Thursday May 7, 2026 11:45 - 12:15 ZF - lokal ej bestämd

Lecturers: Manuel Gonzalez, Virginia Zazo

Track: Future Healthcare

Digital transformation in healthcare is frequently framed around technology, efficiency, and access. Far less attention is paid to how new digital models affect the healthcare workforce—particularly clinicians working remotely or in digitally distributed settings.

This presentation explores workforce resilience as a critical but underdeveloped dimension of digital health transformation, drawing on experiences from RenosHub, a digital community developed by Renos AB for remote and digitally enabled healthcare professionals.

During its pilot phase, Renos Hub brought together clinicians from multiple countries and specialties through structured digital spaces, live events, and peer-driven initiatives. One such initiative is Teledermazonia, developed within Renos Hub as a community-supported teledermatology model connecting volunteer specialists with primary care centres in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Teledermazonia illustrates how digital care initiatives depend not only on technology, but on trust, shared clinical practice, and ongoing professional support.

By combining engagement data, qualitative feedback, and field-based experience, the session demonstrates that sustainable digital health transformation requires social and organisational infrastructure alongside technical solutions. The talk addresses how digital communities can function as workforce enablers—supporting resilience, professional identity, and equitable care delivery across both high- and low-resource contexts.

The session is relevant for healthcare leaders, policymakers, clinicians, and innovators seeking to align digital transformation with workforce sustainability and long-term system resilience.
