What is a Cookie?

According to the Act (2003: 389) on electronic communication, we must inform you as a visitor that we use cookies (cookies) on our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the device you are browsing, such as a computer, tablet or mobile phone.

What do temporary and permanent cookies mean?

There are different types of cookies. A permanent cookie remains on the visitor’s device for a certain period of time, while a session cookie is temporarily stored on the device’s memory while a visitor is on the website.

If you do not want to allow permanent cookies on your computer, you can change the settings in your browser’s security or privacy settings so that it automatically denies cookies or informs you that a website contains cookies. How to do this can be found under the help section in your browser. If you choose not to allow cookies, it may mean that the website can not be used or that it does not work in the best way. If you want to buy tickets or arrange events via InvitePeople, you must have cookies enabled in your browser.

What are third-party cookies?

Cookies that are used, for example, to collect information for advertising and tailored content as well as for web statistics can be so-called third-party cookies. This type of cookie comes from someone other than the person responsible for the website, e.g. an advertising company.

InvitePeople does not use third-party cookies when you register for or participate in events. We only set necessary cookies that are essential for the platform to function properly—for example, to manage logins, orders, or language preferences. These cookies are not used for marketing or analytics purposes, and no information collected through them is shared with any third parties.

Please note that the organizer of the event may choose to set their own cookies—for example, through embedded content or integrations. If that is the case, the organizer is responsible for informing participants about the use of such cookies. The ID in the cookie name refers to the unique identifier of that policy. This ensures the user’s choice—whether accepting all cookies or only necessary ones—is remembered on future visits.
