Data is the new oil some proclaim. The increase of the amounts of data is huge, the EU assesses that it is doubled every 18th month. The total number of digital devices is estimated to be 500 billion by the year 2030. Digital devices for health are one of the fastest growing areas. In the Nordic countries we have a tradition of personal identification numbers and the collection of data connected to that. In this session we will talk about the ongoing work within the Nordic countries concerning interoperability and health data. We will also discuss the way the different countries have handled the issue of health data and in which extent a Nordic Health Data Space could be feasible to create.
