AI-act inom EU och en högre efterfrågan för att implementera AI-lösningar inom prevention, vård och omsorg har medfört att nya AI-produkter och tjänster behöver standardiseras eller certifieras. Idag har RISE flera AI-tjänster med fokusering för medicinska domäner. Samtliga RISE tjänster kan tillämpas inom alla fyra domäner; cancer, intensivvård, hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar, psykisk ohälsa.
Tillsammans med 51 partner inom hela EU erbjuds över 300 AI-medicinska tjänster genom ett EU-projekt i 10 olika länder (2025-2027). Syftet är stödja små och medelstora företag (SME) med paketerade AI-tjänster och testbäddar. RISE erbjuder 12 tjänster fokuserade på AI, Cybersäkerhet och Pharma (Läkemedelstillverkning). RISE har tillgång till egna testbäddar i samarbete med andra svenska organisationer för att implementera RISE tjänster. Vi har nio AI-tjänster inom ett arbetspaket som heter ”Clinical, AI and Roboties Competence”, från ”data integration to AI implementation and development”. Vi har två tjänster inom ett annat arbetspaket som heter ” Virtual Testing Centers” (virtual services), cybersecurity and virtual testing. Dessutom har RISE en tjänst inom “Physical Testing Centers” (physical service), kallad Pharmaceutical development, Manufacture of drug substance and drug product for clinical trial. Våra tjänster kan kompletteras med andra EU-partner, vi tar hänsyn bland annat till AI-act, standarder, datakvalitet, patientsäkerhet och cybersäkerhet.

RISE
Alireza Salehi is a Senior Researcher at Department of Digital health and project manager for an EU-project: TEF-health at RISE. TEF-health means Testing and Experimentation Facility for Health AI and Robotics. To make the EU the place where AI excellence thrives from the lab to the market, the European Union is setting up world-class Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs) for AI.
Alireza’s expertise is based on precision medicine, omics, biomarker, and standardization for health and AI. He is also associated researcher at Karolinska Institutet. He is an expert (AI & health).
His research and implementation projects in Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) which are related to Health Data. Moreover, data analysis and statistical calculations.
At RISE, we are involved in many national och international health projects which are linked to development of AI-solution and better understand of Health Data.
Our focuses are on digital health such as modernizing care with access to new technology by using Health Data with new business models. For that we need testbeds, cooperation med health care organizations, patient organizations and the private health sector.
We at RISE can categorize challenges into 2 parts, one is laws and regulations, and the other is technical solutions (AI and Cyber Security) . A classification process is also required for health data in different areas of use.
The purpose and goals should be developed and implemented considering collected Health Data and efficiency of processes where RISE can contribute with expertise and resources such as our access to our technical centers and testbeds. At RISE, we focus on cooperation areas within the EU where we see that the necessary facilities associated to Health Data are required, Such as access to (HIS) hospital information system. Moreover, Alireza is a digital health expert and responsible for all services at RISE offered through the TEF Health project with other EU partners for SMEs.
