Robin will talk through the various trends visible within the European Hydrogen world, highlighting the progress that has been made (since 2020) and the challenging environment within which we are establishing this new hydrogen world. Conclusions are made with reference to the Swedish marketplace with cautious recommendations about actions required to realise economic and energy benefits for Sweden.

Robin is the Senior Business Development Manager at RWE Generation, assessing green hydrogen production opportunities within the Swedish marketplace. His experience spans business development and project development within the global clean energy market. Working with RWE for over 12 years he has managed wind farm development within England, established the RWE business within America, Australia and scouted SE Asian market opportunities. Whilst working within the renewables business Robin assessed the meaning and role of green hydrogen for the onshore renewables market. From there it was only a small step to support the Generation business in developing a hydrogen business outside of the core business areas of Germany, Netherlands and the UK. We need to transition our society to a position better than net zero suggests, and we need to do this quickly. Hydrogen is one of the tools at our disposal to do this. Time doesn’t wait…
