Thursday December 12, 2024 15:40 - 17:00 Room T3
Lecturer: Anna Grzelec
Theme: Open network session – Women in Green Hydrogen, Language: English
Open to all, regardless of gender
Language: English
Format: 20-minute lecture + 30-minute interactive workshop + 30 minutes mingle
The hydrogen and energy sectors remain predominantly male, yet the industry stands to benefit greatly from a more diverse workforce. This session is designed specifically for stakeholders in the hydrogen industry who want to deepen their understanding of gender equality and learn how to create meaningful, impactful change within their organizations.
Session overview
Gender equality and representation are often confused, but they are not the same. This session will provide participants with the tools to differentiate between the two and recognize surface-level efforts (such as for instance counting number of managers of a certain gender) that may hinder true equality.
Anna Grzelec, an expert in innovation and diversity and project leader for a gender equality initiative funded by the Swedish Gender Equality Agency, will lead the session. With a background in industrial engineering, business administration, and cutting-edge research on gender and technology, Anna will present the latest insights into how organizations can move beyond “hollow words” and achieve genuine, lasting impact and speed up innovation.
What to expect:
- Lecture: Anna will explore the challenges and opportunities associated with gender equality, sharing actionable strategies and research-based insights.
- Interactive Workshop: Participants will collaborate to identify challenges in their workplaces, share perspectives, and develop actionable ideas to foster equality. The workshop’s insights will directly inform Vätgas Sverige’s ongoing gender equality project, “The Green Energy Future – A New Industry with New Opportunities.” Read more here.
