Innovation for a Greener Future

Welcome to the 3rd edition of the Nordic Nigeria Connect in Lagos (Nigeria)! 

It is taking place 14-15th November 2023, themed “Innovation for a Greener Future” organised by all the Nordic Embassies in Nigeria. Building on the successes of the previous editions in 2019 and 2021 this offers a unique opportunity to foster collaboration and partnerships between Nordic and Nigerian actor, to position for growth together in Africa’s largest economy. Gathering Governmental stakeholder and the business communities in Nigeria and the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland).

There will be official governmental presence from all four Nordic countries, and Sweden's State Secretary for Trade is tentatively confirmed.

Sweden’s thematic agenda is Circularity & Innovation, to tackle sustainability challenges in Waste to Energy/Mobility and HealthCare. Parallel session of business-to-business meetings and other requests will be organised for companies and stakeholders based on request.

During that same week in Nigeria, there will be the Global Tech Africa (GTA) Summit in Lagos, same hotel/location. November 17 – 20, 2023 that we are also partnering with the key stakeholders. There will also be a delegation and side event to this summit from the Digital-Life-Design (DLD Conferences) Group as there was a focus on Nigeria during the global Conference in Munich in January 2023.

Registration is binding after written confirmation from Business Sweden. A separate agreement will be provided by Business Sweden including terms and conditions for participation.

The fee includes participation in the full delegation programme including local transportation (e.g. bus transport) and meals as outlined in the programme. The fee does not include flights, accommodation, or transfers/transportation outside the basic programme. Participants are kindly requested to book their own flights and accommodation - Business Sweden will provide recommendations on arrival and departure times.

Public agencies and small or medium-sized companies (SMEs) are eligible to participate in this activity with a reduced participation fee. For SMEs kindly note that Business Sweden uses the EU definition of SMEs, where a firm that is part of a larger group may need to include staff headcount/turnover/balance sheet data from parent companies.
