The United Nations Association of Norway (FN-sambandet) has 75 years of experience on education on International affairs and Sustainable Development.


The educational system favors children and students with some skills. Can we meet all learners on an equal level and treat all as equal?


In the workshop we will share some examples on how to bring awareness to teaching respect for others and how education can promote the SDGs and particularly SDG 10 on Reduced Inequalities. 


With Professor Arild Raaheim, Department of Education, Faculty of Psychology and

Kai Grieg, advisor at United Nations Association of Norway, Vestland Branch.


The seminar will be held in English. If all participants speaks Norwegian we will switch to Norwegian. The conference platform is Zoom (update your zoom app before attending)


We will discuss questions like:

  • How can the educational system help to make an inclusive society. 
  • How to make education that do not discriminate
  • How can the Universities promote lifelong learning
  • How to address our own attitudes and work towards nondiscrimination.
  • How to prepare students for an unknown future. 


There will be some exercises for all to participate in.
