COVID-19 Pandemic has inflicted a tremendous hardship for individuals, communities and nations but it has also led to positive transformations in societies and brought a lot of innovation in Healthcare technologies.

This presentation is about lessons learned from what started out as a simple application in a project for screening of the workforce of Healthcare institutions for symptoms of COVID-19 and then grew into a powerful system that brings together just about every element of defense against the COVID-19 pandemic and well beyond it - including contact tracing, integration with smart thermometers and face recognition devices, integration with EHR systems, direct-to-consumer lab testing, immunization, remote consults and much more.

In addition to short- and long-term Healthcare facilities the system is now used at major restaurant chains with 100s of restaurants, event venues, retirement homes, cruise boats, casinos, school systems, manufacturing facilities, companies and many communities, all fighting the good fight.

We will talk about how this project came to be and how it evolved as a concept in response to business and technology challenges presented by every new class of organizations and users, types of workflows, geographical regions and other factors.
We will also talk how it brings together lab testing, immunization and telemedicine to empower and unify communities and organizations in their fight against the current and future pandemics and even in managing their workforce resources.
