Al Mezan is one of Palestine's most prominent human rights organizations. Through monotoring and documentation of human rights violations, legal initiatives, awareness-raising and advocacy – Al Mezan protects and advances the respect of human rights in the Gaza Strip, as part of the occupied Palestinian territory.
General Director of Al Mezan Center for Human Rights in the Gaza Strip. He has an MA in Human Rights from the University of Essex and is the recipient of the Weimar Human Rights Award and the Commissioner General of Palestine’s Independent Commission for Human Rights.
Al Mezan International Legal and Advocacy Director and has been with the organization for eight years. She was previously based in the Gaza Strip and is now based in Geneva in order to work closely with the UN. She has an MA in Human Rights and an LLM in International Humanitarian Law.
Manager of field work unit in Al Mezan, Gaza. He has before that a long experience as a Human Rights Officer and Field Coordinator in Al Mezan. He holds a Master of Arts in Middle East Studies, combined with a license degree in communications for NGO´s and a Professional diploma in English.
Manager of the Diakonia IHL Centre in Jerusalem. He previously served as Executive Director of the NGO Gisha, as a legal adviser for the ICRC Delegation in Israel and the Occupied Territories and as a research officer and legal adviser at B’Tselem and has also worked as a consultant for UNICEF and OHCHR. Awaiting formal award of a PhD, he holds an LLM in Public International Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science and is a recipient of a Diploma for Human Rights awarded by the Academy of European Law at the European University Institute.
