Nordic Aqua Partners is a Danish land-based salmon farming company, founded in 2016. The company is planning to build the first commercial land-based salmon farm in China, with expected construction start in 2021. Nordic Aqua Partners was listed on Oslo Stock Exchange in 2020.
Nordic Aqua Partners’ first farm is located on the Goatang Island in China, not far from Shanghai. The facility is a RAS, and the equipment is delivered by AKVA. The first phase of the facility will have an annual capacity of 8k tonnes by 2026, while phase 2 will increase capacity to a total of 16k tonnes. Phase 3 aims to increase production further, to a total of 40k tonnes.
