Corvus Energy was founded in 2009 and supplies energy storage solutions and hydrogen fuel cell systems for segments within the maritime industry. The company pioneered the development in maritime energy storage systems for almost all types of vessels, providing a battery with the desired capacity, lowered cost and safety level. Further, the company will use its experience to develop hydrogen fuel cell systems for the shipping industry.

Corvus aims to create a more sustainable maritime industries by providing zero-emission solutions that contribute to reduced fuel consumption and emissions. Its maritime energy storage systems can be used by almost all maritime assets, from rigs and subsea assets to shipping, cruise and fishing vessels. The company has also directed its focus towards ports, where a lot of diesel fuel emissions are emitted by cranes and container handling equipment. Corvus consider this as an opportunity and ~70 cranes are already utilising its energy storage systems, reducing fuel usage by 65%.
