Scatec is a renewable power producer which develops, builds, owns and operates solar plants across emerging markets. Founded in 2007, Scatec has secured a portfolio of gross 3.5 GW in operation and under construction across the world. In October 2020, the company announced the acquisition of the hydropower producer SN Power, which acquired a 39 MW wind farm in Vietnam a month later. These transactions kickstarted the first steps of Scatec’s broadened strategy of becoming a global, large-scale player within solar, hydro, wind and storage.

The company is targeting a total 15 GW of gross capacity in operation and under construction by 2025, through partnering with players with local experience and relationships in markets positioned for future growth. As a result, the company aims to be awarded a large amount of capacity in India, Brazil and South Africa. The company is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and headquartered in Oslo, Norway.
