Aker Clean Hydrogen is a newly established company originating from the Aker sphere, and was spun out of Aker Horizons in March 2021. Through developing, building, owning and operating clean hydrogen at industrial scale globally, ACH aims be the most efficient hydrogen value chain integrator in the race towards zero emissions. The company has a target of net production capacity of 5 GW by 2030. While its current portfolio is mostly green, it will also target blue hydrogen opportunities.

Aker Clean Hydrogen builds on Aker’s 180-year industrial history and joins the ranks of the Aker group’s pioneering work in complex industries with efficient solutions. As clean hydrogen projects grow in size, it becomes increasingly important with industrial-scale project capabilities. From both an economical and execution perspective, it will be key for a system integrator to deliver competence across all capabilities ranging from FEED, EPC, O&M and plant digitalisation. Here, we argue that ACH is in a unique position to leverage Aker's track record on industrialising markets.
