Presentation
Today’s Hunter Group was formed in 2018 when it entered an agreement with Apollo Ltd, a company controlled by Mr. Arne Fredly, to acquire scrubber-fitted VLCC newbuildings as IMO 2020 regulations were approaching. Apollo Ltd is the company’s largest shareholder, controlling 29% of the shares outstanding.

Today, Hunter has a fleet of four, scrubber-fitted eco-design VLCCs. The company initially ordered eight such VLCCs but has since divested four of them – transactions that resulted in solid return on the invested capital.

The company has been well covered by TCs during a lackluster tanker market but is increasing its spot exposure going forward with both ‘Disen’ and ‘Idun’ coming off contracts during Q2’21, leaving 25% of days covered to H2’22.

The company’s most recent sale of ‘Atla’ for USD 84.5m resulted in a NOK 0.5 dividend per share, and in total HUNT has paid out NOK 1.5 per share this year.
